Seoul Korea Day 2 - Night Stroll Around Samcheongdong

Image
As you already know, I heavily use Couchsurfing to meet people when I get to travel. It's a good venue to meet like minded people and I've had good experiences with it so far. Well, there's two in Tokyo that are not so stellar but that's for another post. So anyway, I met a girl and we decided to meet tonight. We had been talking through Kakaotalk as well weeks before my trip. She was gonna show me around Samcheongdong and walk from there to Bukchon Hanok to Insadong. She said the area around Gwanghwamun Square is really scenic so I was really looking to meet her. A few days before she said that she met a French guy through the same website who'd like to join us so it became a party of three. We met at a subway exit. Actually, the moment I came out of the exit and waited for Hye, I noticed a foreign guy standing by himself and who looked like he was waiting for someone. I kinda sensed that he was the guy Hye. was talking about so I walked over and introduced myself...

Seoul, South Korea Day 2 Photo Walk Edae

Edae is the shopping district that I was telling you about located just outside Ehwa Uni. It's actually a shortened word for Ehwa Womans University but I don't see how. Anyway, I needed to buy some things so I thought might as well pop in there. Since it's geared towards the students, the items are on the trendy side and reasonably priced. There are shops not just for clothes but also shoes, bags, sunnies, luggage, every fashion item you can think of. I was actually thinking whether to spend my shopping money here or in Hongdae but guess what, I ended up blowing everything here lol. Too many cute things! I bought bags for myself, my mother, and my sisters. I bought a pair of shoes, 2 winter coats, 2 shirts, and a pair of tights. Okay, I am not eating in the next 2 days lol 😅I wanted to buy more but it was only my second day there and I don't wanna end up begging for money so I had to restrain myself. 😁 I never shop when I travel, at least not until the very last day. ...

Seoul City Day 2 EHWA Womans University Photo Walk

Ehwa is a private women's university in Seoul and as of late, it's become somewhat of a tourist attraction too. Its campus ground is really pretty and must look really stunning when fall is at it's peak. I visited early November and the colors are already gorgeous but for some reason, my camera can't seem to capture it's beauty well. What a shame. You would know from the title that this would be photo heavy 😅. It doesn't look like it but I'm not the only one snapping photos around. There are a bunch of tourists too but I guess I'm the only one who ventured further in. I wanted to follow the students in and I would have if I was brave enough but I chickened out. I didn't wanna be chased out. 😁But seriously, unlike our schools here, I didn't see any guards around. The campus is pretty open which is really refreshing. Quite unimaginable especially if you're someone coming from America, right? It reminds me of what a Korean told me when he was h...
