Ehwa is a private women's university in Seoul and as of late, it's become somewhat of a tourist attraction too. Its campus ground is really pretty and must look really stunning when fall is at it's peak. I visited early November and the colors are already gorgeous but for some reason, my camera can't seem to capture it's beauty well. What a shame. You would know from the title that this would be photo heavy π
. It doesn't look like it but I'm not the only one snapping photos around. There are a bunch of tourists too but I guess I'm the only one who ventured further in. I wanted to follow the students in and I would have if I was brave enough but I chickened out. I didn't wanna be chased out. πBut seriously, unlike our schools here, I didn't see any guards around. The campus is pretty open which is really refreshing. Quite unimaginable especially if you're someone coming from America, right? It reminds me of what a Korean told me when he was here in the Philippines previously. He's the one I met in Hanoi before. I saw his Philippines photo album on Facebook and it really doesn't have much. When I asked him about it, he said he was afraid to go out. Upon probing, he said it scared him how the guards are wielding shotguns πππππππ They really do! Even in malls and banks! So I guess, it is unusual for other people. Anyway, I'm going off topic. What I wanted to say is, if I'm a citizen of Seoul, I really would have loved to study here. Maybe, next to Seoul National University haha, girl can dream! Maybe in my next life? π By the way, the students didn't seem to mind the tourists.
I did a bit of research and it turned out it was designed by a French architect, Dominique Perrault. What's amazing about it is much of the complex is underground so they were able to maximize space and even have natural sunlight by making a "canyon". Two glass walls on each side as you would see on the pictures below allows sunlight in. I subtly peered through the glass and I saw a library and cafeteria. Apparently, the entire structure totals 66,000 sq. m. with a 6 levels below the ground. So besides the cafeteria that I saw, there are parking garages, classrooms, exhibition space. Man, I hope they do campus tour but I don't think they do. Anyway, here are the photos I took that day. I think I was there around 9 am.

| On the way to EHWA |

| You see the campus up ahead, it is not gated. |
 |
| The garden on both side is basically the "roof" of the underground complex. |
 |
| I really liked this cafe too. |
 |
| This is me taking a look at what's inside those walls. I'm sure I looked creepy from the inside. π

 |
| The canyon, it's this huge. |

| Shopping district just outside the campus,Edae |
The last photo shows a bit of Edae, a popular shopping district just outside the campus. It's partly the reason why I visited this part of Seoul. I'll write about it on my next post. It is almost midnight. Good bam! π΄ Update: You can follow my instagram account,
